31 October: A big Chinese dinner at Kasen.

Strange aubergine guys (with varying haircuts) watching over chilli prawns.

Beef dish - individual portions served on crisply fried potato ladles.
2 November: Dinner at Nomura, with dad, my sister Hiroko & her husband Tamotsu (just arrived from London earlier in the day) and my friend Racco from Tokyo.

Appetizer of tofu, kaki fruit, lily root and salmon roes, in a kaki cup.

Hot pot of various mushrooms.

Oyster with ponzu.

Grilled oysters with miso sauce.

Bunny-sized fruit salad.

Afterwards Racco, Akiko & UsaKousa stop for a nightcap: mine's a frothy banana cocktail, Racco's is with tea & grapes.
