Tuesday 21 March: We've managed to miss the events of Märzmusik festival so far, but tonight it's a must: Der Plan, who were one of the best, funniest and most visual unit of Neue Deutsche Welle, are playing with an orchestra(!!!), in a concert about the concept of copyright ; followed by the first live performance of Trans-sister Radio, a radio piece by our friend Terre Thamlitz (currently resident in Kawasaki) for Hessischer Rundfunk, about transgenderism and travel.

As it turns out, Matthias (Osterwold) phones me 24 hours before the event, asking me to interpret at the latter show. Thus we end up getting into the two events for free :-)

Der Plan with the Brandenburg Radio Orchestra...

...and with the Berlin Children's Choir joining in for the piece Copyright is Slavery.
Terre and Saki during Trans-Sister Radio. To my relief they've decided to do the whole thing in English, so all I have to translate is the Q&A at the end (and even then, Saki does most of it in English, so I literally have 2 or 3 easy sentences to translate.)

Terre during the "stand-up" section.

Saki (also on projection) .
After the Q&A, we move to the bar downstairs by the lobby, where Terre's doing a DJ set.

After a while Saki and UsaKousa start spinning the tables...

...and Terre joins in....

...who continues working with the bunnies...

...while Saki dances and drinks "German" beer - unfortunately they only have Becks at the bar here :-(((((
So we dance away until 4AM, all having a very nice and friendly time :-)
